Bigger rock blocks or coherent rock parts can be an obstacle during the diaphragm wall excavation. The solution consists on fastening a heavy chisel (weight: 40 to 200 kN) instead of the grabs to the excavator.
Coherent rock portions can be also perforated if necessary with rotary drilling equipments.
