STEIN Stop-ends
The concreting of the trench is limited by the stop-ends elements (either panels or pipes). The stop-end pipes are made of heavy steel tubes from which semicircular joints appear between every single diaphragm wall elements.
The downwards open tubes are hammered a bit in the base of the trench so that the concrete cannot rise in the tube. They are filled during the concreting with slurry. Stop-end panels are used for diaphragm wall thickness of more than 1.0 m.
